Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has had a slow start to life at Anfield and frustrations are mounting over his inability to hold down a spot in the team, despite the splurge made for his services in the summer.
The midfielder has had fewer games under his belt this season, and has yet to gain the trust of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp is skeptical about pinning him at the centre and fears he could slack off.
It’s no wonder rumours peddling about say Liverpool are keen on cashing in on the midfielder. However, they will have to battle Arsenal for the signature of the star as same report have claimed Emery is impressed with the player
Reports say that manager Klopp has not given the club’s bigwigs a nod of approval, but that will not stop the club from moving forward with the decision.
Nonetheless, Klopp has already dismissed such false reports about Fabinho leaving.
Lyon’s Houssem Aouar has been eyed as a replacement for the star as the club’s seeks stability in their centre.
It is still unclear if Fabinho will be offloaded by the club. Naby Keita is sidelined with injury and that has inflicted weakness in the middle of the park at Anfield.
Fabinho struggles to keep up with the pace of the game, but Aouar could bring something different in the second half of the season, should they successfully beat rivals out in hammering out a good deal for the youngster.
