Argentina international Ever Banega is ready to dump Sevilla and move in to fill Ramsey’s shoes, as the Wales man prepares for his free exit in the summer.
Arsenal were keen on signing over Banega but looked to have been push into the dugout following the 29-year-old reluctance to leave the La Liga midway.
However, talks floating about say the midfielder is considering shaking hands to the deal and is ready to leave Sevilla now for Arsenal.
Arsenal had previously dropped a 7-million-pounds-per-year as salary for Banega, who was still joggling whether to take the deal or let it glide.
Banega had a horrible experience when he move to join Inter Milan before his move to Sevilla, and that has continued to haunt him.
Moving his family from one league to another is a tough option he has pondered over. It is understood he had ruled out a move to England over the issue, but with Arsenal’s offer still on the table, Banega is willing to change his mind and pick up the offer.
Other options still on the cards for Arsenal are Barcelona’s Denis Suárez and Belgium international Yannick Carrasco.
The former is being monitored closely by Gunners scouts in Catalonia, Spain.
