End of Phil Jones? Man United to beat Liverpool to the signing of versatile CB

Man United are set to do battle with Liverpool over a potential deal for Brazilian and FC Porto versatile defender  Eder Militao, this is according to reports.

Militao moved to FC Porto from Sao Paulo in the last summer and he has proved beyond doubt his mettle since then. He has featured in 12 league games for Porto in the Primera Liga, with all his cameos labeled as impressive.

His barnstorming displays has been noticed by several European clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester United, according to the Sun .

United are currently in the market for defender. They have been strongly linked with a move for Toby Alderweireld and Kalidou Koulibaly but the move for the aforementioned stars is not forthcoming.

Militao will be a cheap alternative for United who are displeased with the form of Phil Jones. Miliatao is only 20 but he’d certainly be a player for the future for any club if he continues developing.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have a sturdy defender in Virgil Van Dijk but Klopp is not happy with the performance of Lovren, hence, he is looking for a perfect pair.

Porto are unlikely going to allow one of their best players leave this January but we keep our fingers crossed.
