End of Mesut Ozil, Unai Emery has decided to sell Arsenal’s pass-master

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has decided to sell Mesut Ozil in order to recoup funds for the signing of his targets, this is according to the Daily Mail.

Emery dropped Ozil from the bunch of players that traveled to West Ham last weekend. Without the ex-Germany international, Arsenal suffered an embarrassing defeat and Emery was subjected to several questions as his side lacked creativity.

The Spanish boss revealed last week that Arsenal can only sign players on loan. However, the report have now claimed Ozil’s bogus £350,000k wage is the main reason the club wants to get rid for him and this is in a bid to free up wages for incoming players.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for Denis Suarez, who is greatly admired by Emery. Although Ozil has proven for long that he can be a handle for any defence, Emery does not believe in his abilities.

Even Sokratis lent his voice to the Ozil issue when he said they lacked creativity against West Ham.

He said: “It is not about the two shots on target.

“Look at how many chances we would have had if we had done better with the last pass. This is the problem.”

Arsenal legend Ian Wright also had this to say:

He said: “It’s really worrying – I know Unai Emery has had his problems with big players in the dressing room before and it seems like Ozil, in this dressing room, is the one he’s taking it out on.

“For Ozil not to be in the (matchday squad of) 18, whatever’s going on with him, I can’t get my head around that.

“I think he should be given the opportunity to play himself into form or out of form – we cannot afford to have arguably the highest-paid player in Arsenal’s history not even in the 18.”
