Man United interim boss OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has asked the hierarchy of the club to sign Norway and Bournemouth forward Josh King, this is according to reports.
Solskjaer is displeased with the current state of the Man United squad. Having worked with King while with the youth team of United, he wants a reunion with the 26-year-old Norwegian.
King ascended the various grades of the Man United academy and broke into the first team to future once before he was offloaded to Blackburn. At that time, Solskjaer was the man in charge of United B team.
Romelu Lukaku is the only out and out striker at United at the moment. The boss knows he may not be able to bring out the best in his players without competition for them and King tickles his fancy.
According to the Sun, Eddie Howee is aware of United interest in the forward but he wants the star to stay put with the Cherries.
However, if the player desires to leave, Howee may not be able to stop him. He has been valued at £25million, which is a paltry sum considering how inflated the market .
United are not the only club linked with a move for the player, Tottenham have also been mentioned as suitors for him.
Solskjaer was in charge of his first game for United last night in which they ran rally over Cardiff. The game ended 5-1 in favour of United.
