It’s believed that new Arsenal manager Unai Emery is set to make a move for some PSG players in the summer, and youngster Rabiot is one of the players the Spaniard is hoping to lure to the Emirates Stadium.
Rabiot, 23, failed to impress with the Ligue 1 giants this season which has cost him a place in Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad.
The Frenchman was unexpectedly omitted from Les Blues squad to the upcoming 2018 World Cup set to take place in Russia.
While reacting to his surprise exclusion from the list, Rabiot pointed an accusing finger at the limited time he spent on the pitch for PSG this season, thereby fueling speculations that he might consider re-uniting with Emery at the Emirates Stadium.
Having spent eight years at the Parc Des Princes, Rabiot has played 200 matches, scoring 20 goals in the process.
His appearance at the heart of the Gunners midfield will give a sort of assurance to Mesut Ozil — who will be given the duty to create clear-cut chances for his teammates — that he is fully covered, should the team lose possession of the ball.
Meanwhile, Juventus are ready to block Emery’s move for Rabiot in the summer. The Old Lady have been credited with an interest in the Frenchman, according to Tuttosport.
Maximiliano Allegri is hoping the midfielder accepts his offer despite Arsenal’s bid.
