Antonio Conte failed to win Arsene Wenger for the second time at the Wembley Arena and the Italian tactician seem unhappy with the current state of his quad.
While Chelsea are still looking to add top-notch players to their otherwise very strong squad, Antonio Conte has not ruled out the possibility of selling Eden Hazard to Barcelona, this is according to report.
Barcelona’s attack have been become threadbare since they allowed Neymar to join Paris Saint Germain and the Bluagrana side have been looking for players to strengthen their attack. Although they have been linked with a move for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, the Camp Nou outfit have also lined up a move for Hazard.
While Antonio Conte initially laughed off Barcelona’s interest in Hazard, he reckons that he does not have a say in the player’s future at the club.
When quizzed about the player’s possible move, he replied as thus:
“I don’t know what Eden would be worth. I expect him to play with Chelsea, it is not the right moment to lose a player.
“I have great consideration for this player because he is top quality but I repeat I am the coach and I can give my opinion but the final decision is always the club’s.
Chelsea have lost some quality players in Nemanja Matic, Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathan Ake to transfers this summer but Conte has subtly revealed that he did not decide for the aforementioned players move.
Since joining Chelsea, Hazard has proven to be the best player Chelsea has and it will take Barcelona a hell of fortune to be able to secure the player’s services.
Surprises can still happen in the transfer and so, the Blues fan should brace themselvs.
