Eden Hazard reveals why he wants to sign new Chelsea contract
Eden Hazard has been one of the big difference between Chelsea and other teams this season.
The player has recorded seven goals and two assists in all competitions–six in the Premier League and one in the League Cup.
The Chelsea talisman has admitted to leaving Chelsea in July, angling to play in the Spanish La Liga after he was linked to join Los Blancos this summer.
The 27-year-old has been pegged as the major influence to Chelsea’s fine run of form under Sarri.
Hazard told BT Sports he was ready to abandoned Chelsea and go to Spain in July, revealing it was “my dream” to play in Spain.
So far, Hazard is enjoying every bit of life playing for the Blues under Sarri and hinted he could remain in Chelsea beyond his two remaining years.
“I will tell you the truth, after the World Cup I wanted to leave because my dream is to play in Spain,” Hazard told BT Sport .
“But then I talk with the board, the manager and I said ‘you don’t want me to leave, I can stay’. I am happy to the new manager has come and we are enjoying playing under him.”
But the 27-year-old will have to give more, says Maurizio Sarri, who believes he has only given up to 70-80 percent so far.
The Blues return to Europa League action 4 October against Videoton.
Next they place away to Southampton in the Premier League, three days later
