Ed Woodward sanctions Man United deal for Champions League hero

The world footballer of year Christiano Ronaldo broke more barriers last Tuesday in the Champions League, he became the first player ever with three UEFA Champions League hat tricks in the knock out stage of the competition and showed why his arch rival Lionel Messi is not the best player since the world began.

The signing of Christiano Ronaldo for Man United in the summer of 2003 signified a trophy filled era in which he led the club to winning three Premier League and one Champions League trophy among other titles. The six years he spent at Old Trafford was highlighted by a Ballon D’Or award.

It now appears that Man United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward wants that Ronaldo back at Old Trafford a feat that is near impossible, reports the Metro.

Ronaldo had once stated that he would fancy a return to the club that made him but Jose Mourinho at he moment, is looking at his teammates James Rodriguez and Antoine Griezmann for possible transfers. There is no coach at the moment that will rebuff an offer of Ronaldo to them but thinking United would lure Ronaldo to the fortress of Old Trafford is more or less a pipe dream.

The report claims Woodward feels he can broker a deal to bring the star to United not just for the footballing reasons, but the commercial too. Ronaldo has won all that there is to win at Madrid but he want to move away from Europe when he’s out of contract.

I would love to see Ronaldo back at Old Trafford and i’m sure you want that too but we can only hope.
