Wales and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale must have broken the heart of many Manchester United faithfuls after declaring his decision to join Antonio Conte in the summer despite Mourinho’s interest, this is according to report.
The former Tottenham star has been a rich source of transfer speculation since last year as he was linked with a move to Manchester United, Chelsea and even a return to Tottenham Hotspur. The player has had to deal with recurring injury problems which have negatively affected his Real Madrid career and he is hoping to move back to the Premier League in the summer.
Having failed to get the Welshman during January transfer window, José Mourinho switched his attention to Alexis Sanchez in his bid to improve the quality of his attacking threat in the second half of the season. The Portuguese has confirmed he won’t make any move to sign another attacker ahead of next season
Despite Bale’s desire to join Chelsea in the summer, the Blues might encounter some difficulty in their move for the winger as Bayern Munich are ready to prevent the move from materializing with a mouthwatering offer for the player.
The Bundesliga giants have joined a host of clubs who are interested in the player’s service. It is believed that both Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben could be leaving Allianz Arena by the end of the seaso. Hynkes is therefore hoping to bring Bale as a replacement for one of the two players, according to Don Balon via Readbundesliga.
Bale is currently valued at 75,00 Mill. €, according to transfermarkt.
