€55m-rated attacker agrees personal terms to join Man United, deal is close

While Manchester United fans may have been saddened by the report on Alvaro Morata, there has been good news on the transfer front for the Red Devils.

Croatian winger Ivan Perisic has agreed personal terms to join Manchester United, reports the Express.

Manchester United have been keeping close tabs on the Inter Milan man, who coincidentally appears to be eager to join Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

United had seen €40m bid for the player rejected, leaving them without choice than to raise their offer for him. Now Italian outlet  Premium Sport claims the 28-year old has agreed personal terms to join United.

The report further alluded to the fact Perisic will take home £6.2million [€7m] in wages and he has his heart set on completing the switch.

Inter Milan needed to raise €30m to fulfill their Financial Fair play obligation which raised speculation that they  wanted to raise the money from the sale of Perisic.  They have been able to meet that need and are now holding out for  £44m [€55m]for Perisic.

The coach of the San Siro giant Luciano Spalletti  is also proving to be a stumbling block to the deal as he wants the player to stay put at the Club.

However, Perisic seem to have his mind made up on the deal and his next stop in career seem to be Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have had their pursuit for Alvaro Morata hit the brick walls again but Perisic arrival appears to be closer.

Mourinho is looking to complete the deal in time before United Jets off on Sunday for their Pre-season  tour.
