Miralem Pjanic looks unlikely to leave Turin again this summer. English club Chelsea have seen their 50 million euros fee for the player put down by the club.
Despite forking out that much to secure his move away from Italian to England, it is understood that Juventus are unwilling to budge.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, the Old Lady are not interested in giving away the player.
The news outlet added that Juventus chiefs Joseph Marorra and Fabio Paratici have frowned at the move and stymied the whole process.
Pjanic is understood to be keen on playing for another European side and is understood to be angling away from the club.
But Chelsea will have to shell out double their initial offer if they’re keen on convincing the Old Lady.
The Blues already signed Jorginho from Napoli this summer and Sarri has brought in Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic.
The middle of the park at Chelsea is cramped and competition for that berth is fierce.
It remains to be seen whether the Blues will push to sign the former Roma star in January.
However, it looks like Sarri has enough engines in the midfield who are ready to play entertaining football.
Sarri won his second successive game as manager, trumping Arsenal 3-2 at Stamford.
The Blues are third on the Premier League table, behind Manchester City and Liverpool in that order.
