€34m-rated tough-tackling CB delivers update on completing Chelsea deal

The transfer media wave of Chelsea is relatively quiet this morning as there is no concrete reports confirming that the Blues have had a breakthrough in the signing of any of their targets.

Chelsea transfer prime target Antonio Rudiger  has played down reports linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge from Italian giants Roma, this is according to reports.

Rudiger emerged as a transfer prime target for Chelsea last week and it was even reported that a 5-year deal was on card for the German centre-back.

It is believed that Antonio Conte is preparing for a triple swoop to the tune of £125million and Rudiger tops the target wanted by the Premier League Champions.

The 24-year-old is currently reveling in the ambiance of their confederations Cup win against Chile last night and it appears he wants to savour the moment.

After their victory in Chile last night, Rudiger was quizzed about his move to Chelsea and he replied as thus:

“It’s not about the future now, it’s now about enjoyment.

“I need to enjoy this moment and I’m enjoying it to the fullest.

“The rest we will see in the coming weeks.”

Chelsea saw Nathan Ake departed the Club last week and the future of John Terry seem to be away from the Club, this has left Conte with no choice than to look for reinforcements for his backline.

Rudiger is strong in the air and can play on the right side of a back trip. He will complete a back trio of David Luis and Cahill if the deal goes through.

He is valued at £30m (€34million)
