Transfer talks between European outfits Chelsea and Napoli have proven difficult as both clubs have failed to reach any agreement over the future of former manager Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea derailed last season in their quest for Premier League conquest after a poor run in the second-half of the recently concluded Premier League campaign.
Despite Conte winning a silverware last season, his shaky second half of last campaign that led to a sixth-placed finish could see him leaving the job at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Sarri has been highly tipped to win the position, however the possibilities of that happening is unclear at the moment.
And it is expected that if Chelsea successfully wins Sarri over, some players may jump on the bandwagon with him to the Blues camp.
But one player has stubbornly insisted that even if Sarri switches to the Stamford Bridge he will stay put amid interests from Chelsea.
Full-back Elseid Hysaj through his agent as revealed that should Sarri eventually gets the managerial appointment at the Bridge he will remain at the Naples club.
Currently, it is understood that Sarri’s job as the Blues manager will trigger his release clause.
But Mario Giuffredi, Elseid’s agent is quoted as saying,
“Elseid will stay at Napoli,” Mario Giuffredi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“The Chelsea idea, in the case of Sarri’s arrival, should be taken into little consideration.” He said according to Football Italia,
The Blues are reportedly in the hunt for a full-back despite the return of ultimate defender Kurt Zouma from Galatasaray.
The wing back is valued at 25,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
