€110m Chelsea target arrives England, agent makes confirmation

Milan striker Mauro Icardi fuelled transfer talks when he arrived in England.

Icardi has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this season, as Maurizio Sarri is keen to beef things up at the front line for the Blues.

Icardi score an inch-perfect spot-kick in Milan’s clash against Udinese to keep them in third-place.

The goal takes his season tally to nine, three behind the competition’s leading scorer Krzysztof Piatek, who is rumoured to be linked with Premier League side Manchester United.

Icardi has racked up more than 60 Serie A goals under his belt since joining the Nerazzurri in 2016.

Icardi is set to pen down a new deal at the San Siro with a deal already in the pipeline.

Wanda Nara murmured of a new deal steaming in the pot for the Argentine striker.

She wrote on social media: “It 00:30 at night and I am reading the pages of the contract renewal.”

Icardi’s release clause has been pegged at €110 million or £98 million. Following Inter’s exit from the Champions League, Icardi will become more appealing than ever to clubs in Europe, especially big spenders of the Premier League.
