Eden Hazard has hinted that he will be motivated to remain in Chelsea and sign a new deal only if the club reinforces the current squad with top-notch players, according to report.
The future of Hazard for Chelsea has remained a subject of massive transfer speculation and it became even more when the Blues failed to qualify for a Champions League spot.
The Belgian is tied to a Chelsea contract until 2020 but he has been constantly linked with a move to either Barcelona, Real Madrid or Manchester United. Hazard has ruled out a possible move to Man United but he has refused to state whether he will consider joining the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
Ahead of Chelsea FA Cup final game with Chelsea, Hazard was quizzed on the possibility of signing a new deal with Chelsea and he revealed what would persuade him to do so.
“I’m waiting for new players next season. I want good players because I want to win next season the Premier League.” He said per Independent.
While he reckons that he is happy with life in Chelsea, he further admitted that he has to take time to think about crossing the ts and dotting the Is in a new deal.
He added: “That’s why I’m taking my time. It’s something big. I need to think about a lot of things.
“One thing I’m sure is that I’m happy here.”
Chelsea will play Manchester United in the FA Cup final this weekend and hopefully, it will not be Hazard’s final game in the Blue colour of Chelsea.
Should Chelsea want to sell him, Hazard is valued at €100m by transfermarkt.
