Arsenal have completed the signing of Mexican wonder-kid Marcelo Flores, per reports.
Flores joined Championship Ipswich in the January of 2017 and he has not failed to lure the scouts of various clubs across Europe.
Arsenal head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has taken credit for poaching the star away from the snare of Barcelona, Chelsea and Liverpool, who have had the 15-year-old under their radar.
The Gunners interest in the player dates back to the January transfer window when Mislintat spotted the young star. Flores has never hidden his desire to lace his boots in the Premier league.
“One of my ambitions is to play professionally in the Premier League,” he said per East Anglian Daily Times. “But I would also like to play world-wide, in La Liga.”
And now, according to the Express, the star has sealed a move to Arsenal.
Arsenal are yet to confirm the signing of the star but there is usually no huge ceremony when a rising star in the stead of Flores joins the club.
Flores is expected to join up with the U-16s of Arsenal and he will be handed a professional contract with the Gunners when he turns 17.
“Internationally, my favourite is [Lionel] Messi,” Flores also added. “Whilst in the Premier League, I like watching Hazard – I try to model my game on them both.”
