Done deal: Liverpool to announce the arrival of 14 goal star

Some big moments in football are difficult to flush out of mind. You get smacked with surprise, faces stained with dry lines of tears and belted roars that soar beyond the roofs of stadia.

Things sweeten up when you have names that have been marked as greats on the field of play.

Liverpool will welcome defender Daniel Agger after confirming he is ready to play in Liverpool FC Legends charity clash scheduled to hold on 23 March, and it promises to be boisterous.

Agger, who joined Reds from Brondby about thirteen years ago, is a well composed guardian at the heart of defence, and stamped his mark at the club, making over 200 appearances during his spells at The Kop.

Agger scored 14 goals in all the 232 appearances he racked up at Anfield before his departure five years ago–2014.

Liverpool will link up Aggers with a cluster of other club legends as they challenge AC Milan who will also be naming an all-stars team in the fundraising match.

The likes of Jamie Carragher, Jerzy Dudek, Robbie Fowler, Luis García, who will play against AC Milan’s Gennaro Gattuso, Kaka, Paolo Maldini and Andrea Pirlo.

The all-stars clash will commence at 3pm,with ticket sales starting from five pounds for juniors.
