The transfer window is still buzzing, and clubs are still rushing to close their deals before 31 Jan. England appears to be making a lot of noise over transfers and its top-tier– the Premier League–has not been left out.
French defender Billy Koumetio has finally come through the door at Anfield.
According to reports, the 16-year-old was a trialist at Liverpool in November, and now appears to have nailed the job successful.
The teenager arrived in England earlier this week to complete his papers and has finally joined the Reds.
However, Koumetio will immediately be fixed to the club’s under-18s squad.
Liverpool lead the league table on that side and the Merseysiders are keen on beefing up things as they look to cling tight to their pole spot in the table.
Koumetio joined the Reds from US club Orleans Loiret. The young defender has also played, before, for French side Olympique Lyon, before packing and moving to the US to play for Orleans at the 11.
Koumetio joins the strings of youngsters that has been added to Liverpool this season, and hopefully he can knuckle down inside the job and break ranks into the senior team.
Meanwhile, Reds are still keen about signing Timo Werner this month.
