Done deal? Ivan Perisic agree terms to join Arsenal, Marotta confirm imminent move

Arsenal have reached personal terms agreement with Ivan Perisic for a transfer, that’s the claim of Italian football journalist Nicolo Schira.

Arsenal are yet to sign a player in this transfer window but Unai Emery has reinstated that the club are in the market to sign a wing player and they have recently been linked with a move to Perisic.

Learning of Arsenal interest, Perisic has served a transfer notice to the San Siro club.

Director Giuseppe Marotta said:  “Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days. We will listen to the request of Perisic. We must try to satisfy him but also respect the value of him.”

The Croatian was dropped from Inter Milan’s squad that played against Torino because he did not want to play.

The Gunners made the signing of Denis Suarez their top priority but all effort to sign the Spanish player has proved abortive.

Arsenal have now turned their attention to Perisic but they can only sign him on loan.

Schira, a reporter for La Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed the player has agreed to seal a move to Arsenal.

The reporter added that Marotta wants Arsenal to sign the player after his loan spell or sign him on a permanent deal this month.

He further claims that both clubs will meet today to continue negotiations for the player’s transfer.

Alex Iwobi is currently the only recognised winger at the club but he has failed to step up his game and the club need an improvement over him.

Perisic was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer.
