Done deal: Good news for Arsenal over deal for £3m defender

Reece Oxford is reluctant to leave Hammers West Ham in January to join German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.

West Ham want to offload Oxford in January but the defender is willing to hold out until the summer when he can move to Arsenal.

It is said that the Hammer are trying to force Oxford join the German outfit Monchengladbach.

However, it is understood the defender does not want to join the German club and wants to wait out until in the summer to join Arsenal when the window opens.

Oxford has had two loan spells at Gladbach and is not warming up to the idea of rejoining the side.

Arsenal is said to have been credited with an interest in the star. However, Gladbach are also in the running for his services and is understood to have lodged a bid for the star.

West Ham are willing to sell Oxford north of 3 million pound. Oxford moved through the ranks at West Ham, but games have been hard to come by. Everton have also been credited with interest in the star.

Boss Manuel Pellegrini has warned the club is ready to offload the player. Oxford’s deal at the outfit is set to expire in 2021.
