At Stamford Bridge, the clear outs and recouping of funds continues as Antonio Conte looks to have a formidable team to defend Chelsea’s Premier League tittle.
Chelsea have completed the transfer of English right back Ola Aina on a season-long loan move to Hull City, reports BBC.
Aina was given the chance to shine by Italian tactician Antonio Conte last season – he featured in two Premier League games and also had three cameos in the 2016-17 Cup competition.
Aina joined Chelsea at the U-11 and has played in all the age grades for Chelsea before taking the stage for the Blues’ senior team. He has been rated highly for Chelsea and the loan move has come as a little surprise.
Chelsea are currently without an option for Victor Moses, who plays as a wing back and Ola Aina is thought to be growing as back up to Moses. However, the confirmation of Antonio Rudiger as Chelsea’s player will see Azpilicueta moved to wing back position.
The head Coach of Championship side Leonid Slutsky revealed that he had been keeping tabs on some of the youngsters of Chelsea as he aims to bring back the Tigers back to the Premier League.
Confirming the report, a statement on Chelsea’s website read: “Ola Aina has today joined Hull City on loan for the 2017-18 season.
“Aina, 20, will link up with the Championship side to further his first-team experience having been a member of our title-winning squad last season.
“The highly rated defender made his Chelsea debut in the League Cup win over Bristol Rovers at Stamford Bridge last September and went on to play six times in total during a memorable campaign.
“At Academy level, Aina helped us lift three FA Youth Cups and two UEFA Youth Leagues.”
The 20-year-old has his roots in Nigeria and he has pledged his allegiance to Nigeria despite featuring for England.
He has won three FA Youth Cup titles and two Uefa Youth League.
Good luck to the Lad.
