Chelsea’s midfielder Mukhtar Ali has joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a permanent deal, according to reports.
Ali joined Chelsea from Leyton Orient as an Under-11 and ascended through the grades of the Club’s academy system. The 19-year-old midfielder has won several laurels including the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup with the academy of Chelsea.
Ali, is of Somali descent but he chose to pitch his tent with England, representing them at the Under-16 and Under-17 levels but his cameos for England and Chelsea did not go unnoticed in his native country – he was nominated once for the International Somali Sportsman of the Year
The box-to-box midfielder signed a contract with Chelsea last summer but he joined a host of Chelsea’s youngsters on loan at Vitesse in the January of this year.
He has now sealed a move to the Dutch Club on a permanent deal. Chelsea confirmed the report on their official website.

Chelsea currently have a plethora of star players on loan at various as they hardly give chances to their youngsters. he joins Dominic Solanke, Nathan Ake, and Nathaniel Cholobah to the list of Chelsea players that come through the academy but failed to break into the first team of the squad.
