Chelsea are in talks with Bayern Munich over the potential transfer of Callum Hudson-Odoi, according reports.
Hudson-Odoi has laid bare his desire to move to the Bundesliga with Bayern but Chelsea are playing the hardball despite good offers made for him.
The Blues rejected a first offer for him and Bayern returned with a £35million bid, yet Chelsea’s resolve to hold on to him is yet to be broken.
He is in the final 18 months of his contract and the Blues could lose him on a free transfer if they fail to convince him.
Confirm Bayern interest in the star, the Sporting director of the club Hasan Salihamidzic revealed talks are ongoing for a potential transfer of the player, per Sport Bild.
We want to sign the player. I am fully convinced of his abilities, we are in talks with Chelsea.
Both [Pavard and Hudson-Odoi] are not finished players yet, but we have many leaders in our team, that’s why it would not be a problem if no player came in the transfer window.
We have to find a good mix between young talents and experienced leadership players.
Hudson-Odoi has been given time to play for Chelsea first team but the imminent arrival of Cristian Pulisic from Bayern Munich means he is unlikely going to be play regularly next season.
