A team overhauling is now apparent at Arsenal with the signing of Pierr-Emerick Aubameyang, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and the sale of Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin in the January transfer window and the Gunners are expected to sign more quality players next season.
Arsenal have tabled an offer to former star and Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to latest reports.
Ozyakup left Arsenal for Besiktas in a approximately £500,000 deal the summer of 2012 after failing to impress the Gunners coaching crew. Surprisingly, the 25-year-old Turkish midfielder has become the Captain of the Super Lig side following series of barnstorming performances.
His impressive display has appealed to Arsene Wenger and he has sanction a deal for him, and thats according to Turkish newspaper Aksam via Milliyet.
Ozyakup is yet to sign a contract extension with Besiktas and his contract will expire at the end of the season. Just like we got Sead Kolasinac, Arsenal are plotting to sign the star on a free transfer.
The departure of Coquelin has left a space for a midfielder in Wenger’s team. Although, there is clamour for Arsenal to sign a maverick defensive midfielder, the Turkish international will be perfect for Arsenal and may not need time to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.
