With just five days to the close of the January transfer window, club’s are still haggling deals for targets, and it is expected that more comings and goings will happen over the next few days.
Talks doing the rounds say Arsenal has signed young striker Sam Greenwood according the reports.
Arsenal Youth’s Jeorge Bird confirmed that the Gunners latest addition to the side is striker Greenwood.
The 17-year-old signed a professional deal with the club after joining last summer from Sunderland.
Greenwood is replete with talent, despite restrictions from first team play. He can also play on the flanks or play a little deeper as an attacker.
The youngster has six goals registered under his name at Arsenal under-18 side, including creating two assists for the Gunners.
The striker is not yet eligible to play for Arsenal’s senior side despite a wowing performance so far for the north Londoners in the under-18 category.
Greenwood ought to have played for a spell of two years to qualify for the B-list. Nonetheless, he still can, with one year gone already since he joined Arsenal from Sunderland.
