Arsenal new boss Unai Emery has wasted no time in filling the shoes left by former manager Arsene Wenger at the Emirates. The Spaniard has reportedly succeeded in securing another sweet deal for the North London club.
According to talkSPORT, Barcelona wonderkid Joel López is reportedly headed for a move to the Emirates after snubbing a new deal at Barca to play for the English outfit.
The 16-year-old is believed to be one of the promising young talents at Barca since his younger years at age seven with the club.
As the new league season approaches, bosses across Europe are doing all they can to wrap up deals and snap up targets in a bid to tighten loose knots in their teams.
And Unai Emery has not failed in delivering his promise to the club about giving youngsters an opportunity.
It is understood that Raul Sanhelli, Arsenal’s head of football relations, fueled López’s decision to reject a new deal with the Catalans and play for the Gunners instead.
According to Arsenalstation, López was a primary target for the recruitment chief before he left Barcelona and played a huge role in influencing the teenager’s decision to playing for the North London outfit.
In addition, the Gunners have also agreed terms with 17-year-old youngster Yacine Adli from Parisians Paris Saint-Germain in what is supposed as a three-year deal with the English outfit.
