Done deal: Arsenal confirm one more departure
Arsenal’s Ivan Gazidis will get a seat at AC Milan’s hierarchy. English outlet Daily Mail reports that Gazidis has accepted to pocket the lucrative offer lodged by the club.
Since Arsene Wenger let go of the wheel of affairs in the Emirates, the Gunners have experienced a big revamp.
First, the appointment of Spaniard Unai Emery as Wenger’s successor. Then the shopping of players in the transfer market.
After a stretch of 10 years at the Emirates, there are strong indications Gazidis will join the bandwagon of players and coaches moving to the Serie A.
This doesn’t come as striking. Milan have sweetened the bait for Gazidis.
Getting a fatted pay that’s three times bigger than your former wage is definitely a luring offer that cannot be waved off.
And Gazidis picking that offer from off the table could be the best deal to come out of Europe for him.
The Daily Mail says will pocket a 3.6 million pounds chunk of money a year once his arrival to Milan has been openly confirmed by the club.
Also, the Arsenal top banana will get an increased add-on through a stake in Milan.
The stake is reportedly the icing on the cake. Gazidis pay will be upped from 20,000 pounds-per-week to an eyewatering 70,000-pounds-per-week.
