Arsenal will continue preparations for the upcoming season in the week two of their pre-season. We play Bayern Munich on Wednesday and take on the Premier League Champions Chelsea this Saturday.
Away from the Gunner’s pre-season games, Arsenal have reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, reports the Express.
Szczesny became second choice to David Ospina in the 2014/2015 season following a deep in his form. The signing of Petr Cech to Arsenal in the summer of 2015 gave him no chance in the team of Arsenal and he was sent on loan to Seria Club Roma, where he spent two years.
His loan spells with Roma helped him regain his form as he has been adjudged on of the best goalkeepers of the Seria. He will play second fiddle to the legendary Gianlugi Buffon in the upcoming season before inheriting his first team gloves when he retires at the end of the season.
A report by Sky Italia Claim a deal worth £10.5million has been brokered by Arsenal and Juventus for the player’s transfer. He is expected to undergo the routine the medical and paper works with 48-hours and join the Scudetto holders for their USA pre-season tour.
Arsenal will not listen to offers for David Ospina as they will be left with no quality option in-between the sticks.
