Trabzonspor wonderkid Abdulkadir Omur is set to join Liverpool at the end of the season, after Liverpool agreed to pay the 20 million euros fee on the player’s head.
However, it appears there is no grain of truth in that claim. It was hawked about in the media by Turkish outlet Ajanspor. However, both outfits have knocked off the circulating claim.
Omur is a genius on the ball and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was reportedly said to be on the ball, arrowing to pick up the young talent dubbed as “Turkish Messi”.
This week, Ajanspor claimed Liverpool had nailed the deal to sign the 19-year-old when this season ends. However, that will not be the case as the Premier League leaders have denied making contact with the club and hammering out his price fee.
Likewise Turkish side Trabzonspor, who have asked that such claims be regarded as false.
Liverpool released a statement saying: “….Anfield officials are adamant that there have been no discussions for the talented 19-year-old who has been dubbed the ‘Turkish Messi’”
Omur is also a target for Manchester City who had earlier been linked with a move for the player, before the gossip went round about Reds finally grabbing the player.
