Among the top Clubs of the Premier League, Chelsea are yet to complete the inward transfer of any player but the transfer window is yet to be opened and there is so much time for Antonio Conte to buy and sell whoever he wants to.
Bosnia and Herzegovina international and Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has revealed that he is elated to join Premier League side Bournemouth even the decision to leave Stamford Bridge was tough for him to make, reports Skysports.
Chelsea accepted a £10m offer for the former Stoke shot-stopper last month and he will join the Cherries in the summer.
The 29-year-old was signed by Jose Mourinho in the penultimate summer but he remained second choice to Thibaut Courtois. He featured in 17 Premier League games for the Blues in his debit season and managed only two last season.
The goalkeeper has made bare his mind, stating that he desires to play regularly, this is said when he spoke to Skysports.
“I’m really excited about the new challenge,” And I’m excited about the whole project the owners and the manager have going on there.
“I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a project before and I can’t wait to get started.
“It’s not easy to leave a club like Chelsea but at this stage of my career, it’s important to get as many games as I can.
“I’m looking forward to playing regularly again and being part of an ambitious and exciting project. The club want to move forward and I just felt it was the right thing to do at this stage of my career.”
The imminent departure of Begovic would have created a huge void in the goalkeeping of Chelsea, Conte must have started looking out for another goalkeeper that has quality and is willing to stay on the bench for first choice Thibaut Courtois.
Other clubs have already started to sign players, Chelsea must try to complete deals for new signings on time so that that will have enough time to bed into the team.
