Arsenal have moved a step closer to signing their transfer prime target Denis Suarez after Barcelona signed on Ghanaian Kevin Prince Boateng on a loan deal, per reports.
The signing of Boateng by Barcelona will pave way for Suarez to join Arsenal, that’s the claim of Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
Despite the obvious need for a centre-back, Emery want Arsenal to add an attacker and he has sanction a move for Suarez. However, the Gunners are said to be short of funds and can only sign players on loan.
Suarez has been a bit-part player for Barcelona and he wants to move on with his career. He was left out of the Catalunya’s side that played Leganes over the weekend and his future at the club has been thrown into further speculation with a new attacker signed on.
However, he could end up playing for Arsenal, who wants a loan deal sealed for him before the close of the window.
Schira delivered an update on the Suarez’s deal, and he revealed that it’s good news for the Gunners.
“The arrival of Kevin Prince #Boateng at #Barcellona releases #DenisSuarez for #Arsenal,” Schira wrote on Twitter.
Arsenal are now likely to sign the player on a permanent basis in the summer.
Aaron Ramsey is set to Juventus in the summer, and Suarez has been pinned as his replacement.
