Arsenal will face tough fight over signing 19-year-old Braga striker Francisco Trincao.
Trincao is a promising winger and has the potential to turn into a big player for Braga.
It is understood Gunners have closely been monitoring the youngster and have twice watched him play.
Trincao is a regular player for Braga’s team B, making seven appearances in Portugal’s second division. But he has also featured for the club’s senior side, making just four minutes with the senior time.
Trincao has also been excellent for Portugal’s under 19 side, racking up seven goals in 13 appearances for the side.
Unai Emery is keen on strengthening his squad and getting someone with Trincao’s quality will definitely bolster hisside.
Emery has ruled out bring players in on a permanent basis, explaining that the club will only approve moves to sign players on loan.
Nonetheless, getting Trincao on the Gunners wage bill won’t put a single dent in the north Londoners fund. The 19-year-old could be gotten for a cheap, if Emery’s succeeds in convincing the club.
Juventus are a real threat to signing the star. The Serie A outfit are hugely interested in the youngster’s services, and are hopeful they can knock Emery’s side out of the race.
