Manchester United could go ahead and sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco as the French champion appear to have resigned to losing more of their star players this summer.
Monaco won the French Ligue 1 and reached the semi-final of the Champions League last season, but the exploits of their players have seen them being priced away from the Stade Louis II.
The French giants have already lost Tiemoue Bakayoko, Bernard Silva and Benjamin Mendy to Chelsea and Manchester City respectively, while Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho have been increasingly linked with a move away from the club, with PSG the likely destination for the duo.
Lemar has been on the radar of Arsenal all summer but Monaco have rejected their bid for the France international, with the club chief Vadim Vasilyev last month maintaining that the club would not sell their star players again this summer.
But it appears they have now softened their stance on that and are now ready to listen to offers for Lemar and others, which is definitely a huge boost for Man United who have been credited with interests in the 21-year-old, according to this report.
Jose Mourinho wants to add a winger to his squad before next week when the transfer window closes and has been linked with a number of top names across Europe, which has not been fruitful.
Arsene Wenger recently revealed that he has hands offed the pursuit of Lemar, leaving Man United as favourite for the star. Arsenal had seen a €50million bid for the player rejected and he is valued at D0million.
