Arguably the best creative midfielder in the Premier League, Philippe Coutinho plays with finesse and you take him away from the Reds team, you have removed their fulcrum.
Since the close of last season, Philippe Coutinho has been on the transfer radar of Catalan side Barcelona but the Anfield Club have stood firm on their resolve to hold on to the player. However, according to reports, Liverpool will agree to sell the Brazilian midfielder to Barcelona on the condition of a swap deal.
Coutinho has been on the transfer of radar of Barcelona since last summer but they have seen £72million for the midfield schemer rebuffed in this window. However, the report further stated that Barcelona are going to up their bid to about £100million and they expect it to be enough to lure the player.
Barcelona are somewhat short of options in midfield at the moment and they see Coutinho as a perfect replacement for the aging Andres Iniesta. It is understood that the signing of Coutinho is likely to persuade Neymar to also stay back at the Camp Nou.
Liverpool are short of options in the middle of the pack since the departure of Lucas Leiva. They have asked Barcelona to include Rafinha or Andre Gomes plus their offer for Coutinho, claims Don Balon . The aforementioned players are surplus to Barcelona’s requirement.
Liverpool have built their team around Philippe Coutinho but if a record breaking price is offered, Klopp may not be able to resist the player’s sale.
