Deal on: Jurgen Klopp sanctions Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona on one condition

Liverpool are increasingly fazed with the possibility of losing their most prized possession Philippe Coutinho given Barcelona’s resolve to sign the player before the close of the transfer window.

While Coutinho has been a subject of two bids by Barcelona, Liverpool are also still in the transfer window as Klopp looks to bolster his squad.

According to latest report making the rounds in Spanish media, Jurgen Klopp will sanction Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona on the condition that Ivan Rakitic is added in the deal.

Barcelona had offered £72million for Coutinho but the Reds rebuffed and we understand that the Blaugrana side have returned with an improve offer of £90million. However, the Mugsmashers have refused to let their guards down despite the juicy offers made for the star.

Liverpool sold Lucas Leiva earlier in the transfer window and Klopp is wary of losing another key midfielder as it is given that replacements are hard to come by. The Reds have tried to sign Naby Keita but all their efforts have been unyielding.

However, Klopp may not be able to stop a big money move for Coutinho but Don Balon claim if Ivan Rakiti is included in a swap deal, Liverpool would allow Coutinho to join Barcelona.

The Reds boss said: “Today no player on the planet is untouchable. But a transfer is also a question of timing and if you have the opportunity and the need to react to such a transfer.

“Also you have to ask, if you have the time to react.”

Rakiti is said to be a big fan of Klopp and he may even consider joining the Reds if Coutinho joins as he will fall down the selection pecking of Barcelona if Coutinho joins.
