Joining Chelsea with the pedigree of prolific striker, Diego Costa introduced himself at Stamford Bridge with an equaliser against Burnley in a Premier League game but he eventually became famous for his temperament than his goal scoring prowess.
According to reports making the rounds, Chelsea have agreed a fee for the transfer of Diego Costa to his former Club Atletico Madrid.
The striker fell out with his coach Antonio Conte at the end of last season and he received a message that he is no longer in the plans of Chelsea for the upcoming season. He has not returned for Chelsea’s pre-season and we understand that the Blues have given him permission to sort himself out.
He was linked with a move to China but the Spain international has set his heart on a move to his former Club Atletico Madrid. The Rojiblancos are currently serving a FIFA suspension that has unable them to bolster their squad until January. Should Costa complete the deal, he will not be registered as their player this summer until January.
However, according to a report by Skysports, Atletico Madrid are willing to pay only £25m but Chelsea are holding out for £60million, for the player they signed for £32million from the Vicente Calderon outfit in the summer of 2014.
After losing out on the signing of Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea have turned their attention to Alvaro Morata but his price tag is stalling proceedings for his transfer.
Despite his predicament at Chelsea, he ended last season with 20 goal in the League.
