Arsenal’s lose to Stoke City seem to have dawned on the fans who have been dwelling on fool’s paradise since the 4-2 away win against Leicester City.
Now, Arsene Wenger looks set to complete a couple of transfers before the transfer window shuts down, with Kieran Gibbs being set to be offloaded by the club, as per reports. The Evening Standard reports that Watford are interested in the left-back as they look to compete strongly in the Premier League.
Further report from the same source claims that that the 27-year-old is a subject of a £7 million deal switch from The Hornets who finished 17th on the EPL log last term. However, Arsenal are not willing to sell for a fee lesser than £15 million.
Gibbs lost his place to Nacho Monreal and with the signing of SeadKolasinac from Schalke, it is now looks as though the Englishman would have to watch from the stands frequently this season. The three-man defence adopted by Wenger has not helped either since Kolasinac is preferred in the left side of the defence.
Gibbs only made 11 League appearances for the Gunners last term and ahead of a World Cup year it is in the player’s best interest that he moves to a club where he is assured of regular game time
