Marcus Rashford has seen his status risen from zero to hero since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer grabbed the reins of the outfit in December.
The England frontman has been a dwindling figure during Portuguese José Mourinho stretch as manager. He had fought with long bouts of inconsistencies, despite his brilliant form for England in the World Cup held in Russia.
Rashford is interesting to watch, especially when he drives down quickly, deep in the attack, as coy and sly as a fox. And when not making quick runs, his dribbles on the ball is very grabbing.
Rashford has been spearheading United’s attack since Solskjaer stepped into the plate following Mourinho’s brute, but anticipated dismissal.
And the youngster has been producing the goods, which is why United are considering doubling his wages.
According to reports bouncing out of the Mirror, United chiefs are willing to add an extra digit to the five-digit wage pocketed by Rashford.
Rashford was formerly linked with a move to join Juventus and Real Madrid this January after a suspected bitter rivalry with former boss Mourinho.
But with the extra minutes he’s getting on the pitch, and a 150,000-pounds-per-week said to be in the bag as United’s new offer on the horizon for the 21-year-old, it is unlikely Rashford will consider walking out of the Theatre of Dreams.
