Deal close: In-demand star snubs Man United and agree personal terms with London giants

We are about a fortnight away from the close of the transfer window and the Premier League clubs will be looking to make all their boxes thick with last minutes efforts before the market is closed.

According to reports making the rounds, Ivorian star and Paris Saint Germain right back Serge Aurier has snubbed Manchester United and Chelsea, and is close to sealing a move to Tottenham.

Aurier was reduced to the fringes of Paris Saint Germain after they signed Dani Alves and he emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United and Chelsea.’

Jose Mourinho has already bolstered his squad but he is still in the market for a winger and the attacking efficiency of Aurier meant be would be a good bargain for the Red Devils. The 24-year-old reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Man United but that report remains only a speculation.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has been in the market to for a right wing back but he has failed in his attempt to lure Danilo or Antonio Candreva to Stamford Bridge. The League holders were reportedly interested Aurier but they may have been usurped by Tottenham to his signature.

French newspaper L’Equipe claims the star has agreed personal terms to join Tottenham. The Lily whites had sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City and they are yet to replace him or sign any player in this transfer window. Nonetheless, Aurier is set to become their first summer signing.

Having signed Neymar from Barcelona in a world record £198million deal, Unai Emery’s side is looking to recoup some funds and it will involve the sale of some players.
