Deal close! $78m-rated Chelsea target agrees personal terms to join Man United

Columbia international and Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez is on the verge of a sensational move to Manchester United after the player agreed personal terms to make the switch, report the Express.

Rodriguez has been reduced to appearances on the bench of Los Blancos and he wants out of the Santiago Bernabeu. He managed just 13 starts in the La Liga and was left out of the squad that played in the Champions League for Real Madrid.

He is also on the radar of Chelsea, AC Milan but Old Trafford has been touted as his likeliest destination. Although he has agreed personal terms, the completion of the deal is yet subject to an agreement of a fee for the star player.

Madrid are understood to be holding out for a whopping £61.2million ($78m) for the player’s transfer but Mourinho thinks the fee is a tad colossal , hence, United want  a cut price. The transfer market is heavily inflated and most quality attackers will not go for less than than £50million.

Rodriguez can play on the flanks or behind the striker, he will not offer just an a option to Man United but would have provided for Mourinho creative threat in attack. United failed in their attempt to sign Antoine Griezmann but Rodriguez may provide more for the Red Devils.

Should the deal pull through, i know the fans of United will be chuffed about the signing of the player.
