David Dea Gea gives Man United one condition to sign new deal

De Gea is ready to commit his long term future to Manchester United but only for the right price.

Over the weekend, United won Tottenham Hotspurs in the league but it was De Gea that was the standout performer for the Red Devils.

He made series of breath-taking saves that number 11, and he was dubbed as the best goalkeeper in the World by United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

De Gea was on the radar of Real Madrid but they signed Thibaut Courtois last summer. The Spanish keeper has also attracted interest from Paris Saint Germain.

United activated a 12-month extension clause in his contract, which means his deal will expire at the end of next season.

If United fails to reach an agreement with him this year, they will be unable to prevent him from speaking to clubs in the next January transfer window.

However, the Daily Mail, has reported that the Spanish shot-stopper wants to put pen to paper on a new deal with United.

He currently earns £200,000-a-week but he wants a £300,000-a-week deal that includes bonuses.

Some United players have laid bare their desire to see him remain at the club, particularly after his barnstorming display against Tottenham.

“We want him to stay,” said Jesse Lingard after the win. “Having a keeper like that gives you extra confidence. He’s a great goalkeeper.

“It was a normal day for him. He was excellent.

“They looked like scoring, but he’s saved us. We see that in training and it pays off when it comes to the big games.

“Some of his saves, you’re like ‘oh my god’. He’s one of the best keepers in the world, if not the best.”
