Arsenal boss Unai Emery has revealed that the club are working on signing a winger and a defender before the close of the transfer window, according to report.
Arsenal have quite a key number of their key players banjaxed with injury, leaving the thin squad to the stretched to its limits. If the Gunners are going to fight for a place in the top four of the table, there is the obvious need to sign reinforcements.
The defence of Arsenal have been shambolic and many expect the club to sign a centre-back before the close of the window. Garry Cahill has featured prominently in the transfer radar of the club but there is no telling if he would be signed.
Denis Suarez and recently James Rodriguez are reportedly close to joining Arsenal but it appears that Emery can only do with one of the players.
While the fans of Arsenal are eagerly waiting for the signing of one or two players, Emery has made a remark over potential arrivals.
“I think the club is working for the possibility to bring in some players who can help us during this next four months of competition. It’s a different situation.” the Arsenal manager said
“If the transfer market can help us find a centre back, the possibility to bring them in is not easy because we also have Mavropanos coming back from injury.
“If we have the possibility to sign some important players, we can do it. At left or right wing, perhaps one player can help us in this position. We will only sign players who give us quality. “
