Confirmed: Ireland international confirms he’s decided to play for Man United next season

Manchester United young player, Kieran O’Hara has confirmed he no longer leaving the club in the nearest future.

The 21-year-old was rumoured to be among the six players whose contract ran out this summer. The likes of Matthew Olosunde, Matty Willock, Charlie Scott and Max Johnstone  Kayne Diedrick-Roberts and Faustin Makela all were amongst the aforementioned category but O’Hara happens to be included in the lucky few handed new contracts at Old Trafford.

Ahead of the preseason preparations O’Hara has revealed that he is staying to fight for a spot in the first team

He  wrote on Twitter: “A summer to remember but now time to get back to what matters, can’t wait to push on and really looking forward to the new season #MUFC.”

The goalkeeper has had a topsy-turvy career at United. Since his move in 2014, the goalkeeper has had loan spells at various clubs across England such as Trafford and Morecambe, to mention but a few.

He has had to play second-fiddle to David de Gea and Sergio Romero but it now looks as though his time to feature in the first team is close at hand since De Gea is reportedly close to completing his switch to Real Madrid.  However, he will have to face competition from the likes of Max Johnstone Dean Henderson and Joel Pereira for spots in the first team.
