There were widespread speculations at the end of last season that Arsene Wenger would hand over the baton of management after the Club struggled in the Champions and Premier League.
Despite the great divide between the fans of the Club, the French tactician has continued at the Emirates regardless, but a major shake up was expected within the backroom of the Club and it is taking place already.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal have signed on goalkeeping coach Sal Bibbo and the changes in the backroom continues. He joins Lacazette as a new face in the capacity of a non-playing staff in Arsenal training ground.
This deal will see Bibbo work alongside Arsenal’s goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton, as the Gunners aim to bring out the best in their shot-stoppers.
The 42-year-old was previously part of the coaching crew at Reading and the academy of Nike. He is the second new coach to peach his tent with Arsenal this week, coming second to former Gunners goalie Jens Lehman.
Without wasting time, Bibbo has already started work with Arsenal as he was spotted with Petr Cech in Arsenal’s Thursday training session at their London Colney training ground.
Additions to the backroom of Arsenal was expected after Ivan Gazidis admitted that it was needed. Albeit this is not a player’s signing, it is a good one for us.
Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal.
