San Siro giants Inter Milan have put up 30-year-old Italian winger Antonio Candreva for sale and Chelsea are understood to be in pole position to sign the star, according to reports in Italy.
Despite the huge success recorded by Antonio Conte in this summer transfer window, the Italian tactician is yet on the look out for options for some aspects of his squad. The Italian tactician is looking to provide competition for Victor Moses on the right wing but having lost Danilo to Manchester City, he has his sight on Candreva.
Candreva joined Inter Milan from Lazio last summer in a €22 million deal and he had a fantastic debut season – in 45 appearances for the Club, he scored eight goals and provided 11 assists but there are indications that Luciano Spalletti is willing to part ways with the winger.
Antonio Conte had Candreva in his team while he was in charge of the Azurri’s and Calciomercato claim Inter Milan are prepared to sell him for £18million, with a reunion between the two on the way.
What has turned out to be a positive report for Chelsea might turn out bad for United. It is said that if Candreva leaves the San Siro, Inter Milan will not be able to sell Man United Ivan Perisic as it will leave their attack thread bare.
Perisic has been on the transfer radar of Man United since the beginning of the tranfer window, but the Red Devils have been unable to meet the player’s valuation.
