Club agree €40m transfer fee for Chelsea prime target

Chelsea are in the fray for on-fire Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek.

The Blues missed out on signing a striker last transfer market, as they were blown off by their options.

Now reports bandying about say Chelsea have turned their hopes to Genoa star Krzysztof Piatek.

The Poland international campaign has kicked off on a good start, scoring nine times for the Italian outfit this season.

His screaming display, including bagging four goals in the Coppa Italia has spun top clubs in Europe heading in his direction.

Chelsea join the pool of outfits in the race for the 23-year-old services. However, like every other clubs, the Blues have been informed they’ll have to forked out a hefty sum in the region of 40 million euros for the Polish star, according to Calciomercato.

The Blues will also have to fend off interests from the Bundesliga.

Champions Bayern Munich are said to have registered their interests in the 23-year-old.

Premier League rivals Liverpool have been linked with a move for the growing star. But it remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp will be fishing for strikers in January.

On the other hand, Chelsea still have Morata and Giroud. The former, suddenly has found his special touch, netting two goals in his previous two outings for the Blues.

However, whether Sarri will shop for strikers in the January window remains a hank.
