Club agree €29m deal for transfer of Chelsea target, 5-year deal on card

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola failed to win any trophy last season for the Citizens and he was handed a hefty and unprecedented transfer war chest in excess of £300million.  The Spanish manager has out-spent his colleagues in the Premier League.

Guardiola is poised to continue with his overhaul at Man City – Ederson Moraes, Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva have joined City but they have now turned their attention to Chelsea’s prime target Danilo Pereira, according to reports.

The Brazilian right full back has been on the radar of Chelsea but Man City have captured him in a £26million(€29m) deal, subject to announcement  later today. City have added on Kyle Walker to their star studded team but Danilo is expected to compete for a place on the right side of defense.

Danilo’s imminent arrival for Man City will take the Citizens spending to £150million as their fourth signing. He will put pen to paper on a five-year deal, according to Marca.

Chelsea allowed their Romelu Lukaku to slip through their grasp but they succeeded to sign Alvaro Morata but Conte is yet looking for options to Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses. Danilo’s move to Man City has now left Conte with no choice than to look for options else where.

Danilo is versatile and can be used as a left back. Meanwhile, Man City are heavily linked with a move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Benjamin Mendy from Monaco.
