Club agree £35m fee for transfer of Chelsea target

The Blues have been asked to pay £35m if they are to enlist the services of Genoa striker

23-year-old Krzystof Piatek has scored 13 goals for Genoa this season in just nine appearances. He is on a blazing form which has seen several European ginats attracted to the young forward.

The Poland international Piatek moved from Cracovia to Genoa in the summer. as a result of his amazing performances for the Italian team, the Pole may be leaving earlier than agreed.

In Italy alone, the likes of AS Roma, Inter, and Napoli have been monitoring the striker’s situation at the club. In the English Premier League, Chelsea are believed to be the club really vying to sign the forward.

The Blues currently have the likes of Oliver Giroud and Alvaro Morata in their squad. However, new manager Maurizio Sarri wants to add another forward as both strikers have been disappointing this season.

The Blues deem the £35m asking price as a high figure considering that Genoa only spent £3.5m in bringing Piatek to Italy. They are set to negotiate and hope to bring the forward into the fold come January.

Chelsea are also looking to offload Alvaro Morata as one of their current strikers has to leave the club to create space for a new player.
