Chelsea’s Eden Hazard begins Spanish lessons as Real Madrid targets him
Ending the season as 10th on the Premier League log, last season turned out the worst for Chelsea in the last decade. Being their best player, Eden Hazard was accused of leading a mutiny against the “Special One” because the Belgian struggled for form and showed no commitment – he managed just four goals in 31 League appearances.
His lack of commitment to Chelsea and the club’s downward descent at that time raised speculations over his future, with Real Madrid as the principal destination for the Belgian attacker. However, the media wave is flooded with reports that Los Blancos will open talks with Hazard when the transfer window comes alive in the summer.
Since the appointment of Antonio Conte, Hazard has been on top of his game, inflicting hazardous damages to opponents. having scored 11goals and provided four assists, the attacking stalwart is in the running for the PFA player of the season.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is a big admirer of Hazard and wants to give more bite to his attack with the signing of Hazard. Madrid had several bids for the attacker rebuffed in last summer and they will rekindle their interest again. Reports have also indicated that Hazard have started taking classes for Spanish language.
Anything is possible in this era of football when it comes to transfer but Chelsea must not allow their best player leave. Chelsea will play in the Champions League next term and the challenge will be equal for Hazard.
We expect Conte to bolster his squad next term.
